Academic Integrity Policy

We trust students. We believe you can learn with patience and honesty, and QuizNeu exists for that — to practise, to remember, and to walk into an exam knowing your material. It does not exist to help anyone pass off someone else's work as their own.

This policy does not replace your school's own integrity rules; it sets out, in addition to them, what we expect of study behaviour on QuizNeu.

This policy is part of the Terms of Use. Using QuizNeu means agreeing to it.

1. Start with your instructor

Every school, university and course has its own rules about what you may study from, share online, or work on with others. Those rules come first. If you are not sure whether making a set from your course material is allowed, ask your instructor before you publish it.

We cannot tell you what your institution permits. When our rules and your institution's rules differ, follow the stricter one.

2. What you may not post

• Live assessment content. Questions from an exam, quiz, midterm or final that is still in use, or that other students have not yet taken.
• Graded work. Homework, assignments, lab reports, essays or take-home exams that are currently being graded.
• Material marked confidential. Anything your instructor, institution or a publisher distributed with a restriction on sharing.
• Publisher content. Question banks, test banks, solution manuals, answer keys, or scanned textbook pages. These also breach the Copyright Policy.
• Questions from centrally administered exams. Questions and answer keys from an exam run by an institution may not be uploaded without the rights holder's permission, even after the exam has passed. The exam being over does not extinguish the rights, and rewriting the material yourself does not stop it being an unauthorised copy.
• Anything intended to be submitted as someone's own work. Sets built so that another person can copy answers into an assignment.

Uploading such material is a violation even if you paid for it, even if it was already circulating, and even if you post it privately and then share the link.

3. What you may not do

Posting is not the only way to misuse a study app. You also may not:

• use QuizNeu during an exam, test or quiz to look up or copy answers;
• share your sets with classmates during a closed-book assessment;
• help another person do either of those things;
• publish material your instructor has specifically asked you not to publish.

A set that is private but shared with a group during an exam is exactly as much a violation as a public one.

Old exams are not automatically safe. Material from a past exam often reappears on a later one. If you are studying from an old test, think about whether publishing it puts the next group of students — and you — in a bad position. If your instructor has asked you not to post it, keep it private.

The bottom line: don't use QuizNeu in a way you would not want your instructor to know about.

Help your friends study honestly. How you use QuizNeu affects other students' experience too. If you are studying from an old exam, the set you publish puts that material in front of the next group as well. If your set contains something your instructor would not want everyone to see, make it private — you can change visibility in the set settings at any time.

Don't fool yourself. However hard the material looks or however little time you have left, do not waste the chance to learn. You should be able to be proud of the choices you make while studying.

4. What is fine

• Notes, summaries and definitions you wrote.
• Vocabulary lists, formulas, dates, diagrams and terminology.
• Practice questions you wrote yourself, or that come from openly published sources.
• Past exams that your institution has officially released for study.
• Material you own the rights to, or that carries a licence permitting sharing.

5. Automated and generated content

The Service can assemble study sets from your own material, translate text and produce audio. Automated output is a study aid — it can be wrong, and it is not a source you can cite. Submitting machine-generated or machine-translated text as your own work may breach your institution's rules; that is between you and your institution, and this policy does not authorise it.

Do not use these features to reproduce protected material you could not upload yourself.

6. For instructors and institutions

If you find content on QuizNeu that comes from your assessment material:

Write to support@quizneu.com from your institutional email address with:

1. a link to the content, or enough detail to identify it;
2. your name, role and institution;
3. a short statement of why the material should not be public — for example that it is an active assessment, or that your institution owns the copyright;
4. whether you are asking for removal, or for removal plus information for a disciplinary process.

We acknowledge these messages promptly and act on clear cases quickly. Content that is plainly active assessment material is removed while we review.

We will cooperate with a legitimate academic-integrity investigation to the extent the law allows. We do not hand over a user's personal data on request alone — we need a valid legal basis, and we tell the affected user where we are permitted to.

7. Enforcement

Breaking this policy leads to the measures in the Community Guidelines: content removal, a recorded warning, suspension, or closure of the account. Distributing active exam content, or repeatedly uploading publisher material, leads to closure.

Every measure can be appealed at support@quizneu.com.

You can report too. If you see a live exam question or an answer key in a set, use the report function in the app or write to support@quizneu.com. We review it as soon as we can. You do not need any connection to that exam in order to report content.

8. A note on why this matters

Content posted here is studied by other people. A set built from a live exam does not just risk your standing with your institution — it corrupts the material everyone else is learning from, and it is the fastest way for a study platform to be blocked by schools. Keeping QuizNeu clean keeps it usable.
