Community Guidelines

QuizNeu is a place to study. These Guidelines describe what belongs here, what does not, and what happens when someone crosses the line. They are part of the Terms of Use and apply to everything you post — public sets, shared links, profile fields, support messages and reports.

The short version

Post study material. Be accurate. Be decent. Don't post other people's private information, don't post material you have no right to share, and don't use QuizNeu to help anyone cheat.

1. What belongs on QuizNeu

• Flashcards, exams, readings and folders you made for learning.
• Your own notes, summaries, vocabulary lists, formulas, definitions and practice questions.
• Material you have permission to share, or that is genuinely open (public domain, an open licence, or your own work).
• Accurate content. If you publish something wrong, fix it — other people study from it.

2. What does not belong

2.1 Harmful and illegal content

• Content that is unlawful under the law that applies to you or to us.
• Hate speech, or content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
• Harassment, bullying, threats, or encouraging others to harass someone.
• Sexual content, sexualised depictions of minors of any kind, or content that exploits or endangers minors. This is reported to the authorities, not just removed.
• Graphic violence, or content that promotes or instructs self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
• Content that promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or organised crime.
• Instructions for making weapons, explosives, drugs, malware, or for committing crimes.

2.2 Other people's privacy

• Personal data about other people — names combined with contact details, addresses, phone numbers, ID or student numbers, medical information, photographs of identifiable people posted without their consent.
• Content that exposes, tracks or targets a specific private individual.
• Screenshots of private conversations.

2.3 Content you have no right to share

• Copyrighted material you do not own and are not licensed to redistribute: textbook chapters, publisher question banks, solution manuals, paid courses, scanned books.
• Trademarks, logos and brand assets used in a way that suggests endorsement.
• Material your school, employer or a contract forbids you to share.

2.4 Academic dishonesty

• Live exam questions, graded homework, take-home exams, or any assessment content posted while it is still in use.
• Content whose purpose is to help someone submit work that is not theirs.

2.5 Spam and manipulation

• Advertising, promotions, referral links, affiliate schemes, pyramid or "earn money" content.
• Repetitive, empty or auto-generated sets published to game discovery or ranking.
• Multiple accounts used to inflate follows, saves or visibility.
• Bots, scrapers, automated clients, or any attempt to bypass rate limits and quotas.

2.6 Impersonation and misleading identity

• Pretending to be another person, a teacher, a school, a publisher or QuizNeu itself.
• Usernames, display names, biographies or avatars chosen to deceive.

2.7 Content that is not study material

QuizNeu is a study tool, not a social network. We remove content that carries no learning value:

• accounts, folders or sets used for chatting with friends rather than studying;
• sets that are really blog posts, diary entries, fan fiction or memes;
• empty, joke or filler sets published to raise a profile or game discovery;
• content that exists only to advertise something.

Keeping something private is always an option — this rule is about what gets published into search and discovery.

3. Mature material in a legitimate study context

Some real study material contains profanity or difficult subject matter: quotations from a novel, song lyrics, slang in a foreign language, historical atrocities, anatomy, medicine, law. That material is legitimate. Use judgement about publishing it:

• If a set contains profanity or mature subject matter, consider keeping it private.
• Do not publish sexual content, and never anything sexualising minors — no study context makes that acceptable.
• Remember QuizNeu is used by students of all ages from 13 up. Public means public to them too.

4. Public content is public

Public sets can be found in search and discovery, opened by anyone, and saved into another user's library. A link or password you share is only as private as the person you sent it to. Once content has been public, copies may persist with people who saved it.

Before you publish, ask yourself whether you would be comfortable with a stranger, a teacher, or a future employer reading it.

5. Reporting

Every flashcard set, exam, reading and profile can be reported from the app. Pick the category that fits, describe what is wrong, and attach up to three screenshots if they help — reports with a reason are handled faster.

• Reports are reviewed by a person before an account-level measure is taken.
• Do not file false or mass reports. Abusing the reporting system is itself a violation.
• For copyright, use the notice procedure in the Copyright Policy.
• For content involving a minor's safety, write to support@quizneu.com with "URGENT" in the subject.

6. What happens when a rule is broken

We choose the mildest measure that solves the problem, and escalate for repeated or serious violations:

1. Content is removed or hidden from public view, and you are told which rule it broke.
2. A warning is recorded on the account.
3. The account is suspended until a stated date.
4. The account is closed.

Severe violations — content that sexualises minors, credible threats, coordinated attacks — skip straight to closure, and are reported to the authorities where the law requires it.

Opening a new account to get around a suspension or a closure is itself a violation, and the new account is closed as well.

Appeals. Every measure can be appealed, either by opening a request from Help & Support in the app or by writing to support@quizneu.com. Include what was removed and why you think the decision was wrong. We review appeals and reverse decisions we got wrong.

7. Changes

We update these Guidelines as the Service and the problems we see change. The current version and its effective date are always shown in the app.
